Swain is a personal browser extension. It does not collect, store, transmit, or share any user data. Everything it does happens locally on this device.
storage.local API, so it doesn't need re-selecting each time.Recorded files are written straight to the local Downloads folder using the browser's downloads API. The extension does not keep a copy, does not read the file back afterward, and has no way to access it once saved.
This extension does not integrate with, or share data with, any third-party service.
Recording a call may require the other participant's knowledge or consent depending on jurisdiction — some places require only the recording party's consent, others require everyone on the call to agree. This is a legal question about how the extension is used, not something the extension itself can determine or enforce.
